I went to my first kickboxing class Tuesday. It was soooo awesome. It was such a great workout, and it was a lot of fun. We started of by warming up, then went straight to hitting the pads (you know, the ones people hold). The only thing I didn't like about that was that you had to switch with your partner and let them hit the pads while you held them. My favorite part was the punching. I would have liked the kicking but I couldn't get my leg high enough to hit the pads where my partner was holding them. Sucks to be short. The instructor was very supportive of everyone in the class, full of motivational speaking, and not too harsh on the eyes. ;) I have another class tonight, and I'm a little sore from going to the gym yesterday, but hopefully I'll be alright.

So I had my first Informal drawing class last night. The lady started explaining what all our materials were, what we should have etc. So then said she wanted us to experiment with our charcoals by drawing a still life. So she handed out a bag of popcorn to everyone and said "ok, draw a piece of popcorn." Well....Ok....So we all start drawing away and she starts walking around telling us to get the outline of the piece then to start shading. So she came by my easel and of course I didn't know what I was doing, but I was trying. She showed me how to shade on my piece of paper with my fingers, which was a lot of fun when the picture's shadows started coming out, my fingers just started to turn black. So we sit there and we're drawing popcorn for like 2 hours. I got bored with my first piece so decided to start drawing another one. At the end of class, most people only had one picture drawn of popcorn. Hmm...Anyway, I took another look at my picture when I got in the car this morning, and the thing really does look like popcorn. I was so proud of myself.
I can't wait til my kickboxing class tonight. Then when I threaten that I'll kick someone's butt, I actually might have something to back it up with ;)

I forgot to mention that all the cheerleaders from Danbury are here. (my hometown) Yeah, so I know most of them, and I really don't like most of them either. I left to get away from people like them. They just can't get enough of me I suppose.
So I'm sitting at work and all these CHEERLEADERS come in. We have a camp staying here with us. Anyway, there's a buttload of mail that came in over the weekend for the ballet camp that is also staying here with us, people are asking for tours in the midst of the cheerleading check-in, people are calling to ask if we know their room assignments and what colors matched the rooms cause they're trying to shop for stuff for the room, and it's lunchtime! It's now almost 2 pm, I ate lunch at the desk during check-in while an employee was griping at me because I couldn't find out if he had a dining account set up with housing or not.
So tonight I have my first drawing class in the art building for 3 hours. I really hope this class pays off because I've wanted to know how to draw for a really long time, so maybe I'll finally learn. It won't hurt to know how-to for advertising either.
On a side note, I dyed 2 people's hair this weekend. Keep in mind I've never been the beauty consultant amongst friends, nor have I ever dyed anyone's hair before. Philip's hair is now eggplant colored. My roommate's is copper red.
So now I'm going to sit here at work and wait for the huge headache go away. Don't people have anything else better to do during the summer than come to UT and stay in the Jester dorm??
