Ahhh...the Fourth of July.
Aside from the shooting and supposed bombing in California, it turned out to be not as bad as I had anticaipated it being. Philip has gone to Florida for the weekend to visit family and I thought that meat I would be all alone, because my roommate was also leaving to go to Colorado for a wedding. Anyway, I had to work at the desk all by myself on the 4th because I'm not "technically" full time, lacking the benefits and all. Philip brought me breakfast from Whataburger before he went home, I spent 3 hours playing on the computer, ordered lunch from Jimmy John's (great sandwiches), then at about 1 my friends JoeAnn and Lester came down to the desk to keep me company. JoeAnn invited me to go see fireworks out at Zilker park and we also decided tht after work we go to a Chinese bubble tea room on 24th. The tea was really good. I had never had bubble tea, and the one she suggested tasted like cookies and cream! Yum! I want to go back soon to try other flavors. Then at the spur of the moment, we decided we should go eat dinner before the fireworks show. We went to a vietnamese cafe type resturaunt and i had "Pho," a type of soup with broth and meat. That was also really good and i'm glad I tried it. Then we went back to her dorm to catch the shuttle to Zilker for the show and meet her friend, Kelly. We hiked over to the park from the shuttle in time to sit down and listen to the Austin symphony play patriotic songs. It was such a beautiful night and the fireworks were so awesome. I've never been so close to a display as I was last night. I know all this sounds so cheesy, but I really had a nice night. It's been a while that I've had such a relaxing, peaceful day. And I just knew it was going to turn out bad. You never know, I suppose. Anyway, happy Independence Day to all, and to all a good day! :D

Yeah!!! I went to see Incubus in concert last night here in Austin at the Frank Erwin Center!!! It was the COOLEST! They were really great and we all know how Brandon Boyd is just the hottest guy ever. It got even better when he took off his shirt and his sweaty, sexy bod was there for all to enjoy. Yeah, you now what I'm talking about, girls. Anyway, the only thing that ruined my first (yes first) concert experience for me was all the people smoking cigarettes and weed around us. That was really gross, and I probably could have gotten a second-hand-high if I had tried hard enough. I think seeing Brandon play the bongos without a shirt made up for it. I think I'm going to go out now and buy all of their CD's. I didn't know all the songs they played, and I realized I wasn't as true an Incubus fan as I thought I was. Better hop to it eh?

Here's what deadly sin I am: (does this mean I need one of those "anger management" classes?)
