For the Houstonians who listened to Psycho Robbie's cool feelings--

I had my own cool feeling when I was giving a tour of Jester today. These parents, who were hispanic were giving me kind of a hard time during the tour because I couldn't show them a certain room. They asked the houskeeper in spanish if she would let them see a certain study lounge because their daughter would be staying in one for supplemental housing. She said (in spanish) that she couldn't and that I could show them one that was already open.
The cool feeling is that I knew what she said, and I responded before the couple did, that I had already showed it to them. and they thought they were being sneaky! i hate when my own family does that much less people i hardly know.

Big news for today! I saw a local (Houston) celebrity!

Tim Melton is a weekend sports anchor for ABC 13 Eyewitness News. Today, he, his wife, and younger son came to Jester for a tour (which I gave) of the dorm. I recognized him, asked politely if he was who I thought he was, got the name wrong, but hey, i knew who he was! They even stayed afterwards to ask questions about the dorm and dorm life. Apparently, they have an older son coming to UT, but why they would want to shack him up in Jester, who knows. Anyway, it took all i had not to make a big deal about him being him, cause I heard they hate that sort of thing.

This was probably the highlight of my summer so far. *sigh* Maybe things will brighten up from here on out.
