Ok, so I've run into the first legal troubles I've ever had in my life. And it's not even exciting. The girl I'm subleasing from for the summer wants me to pay more than I want to, more than I agreed to paying in the first place. I paid for the entire month of May, didn't move in until the 10th. I personally don't think I should have to pay for the August part since I'll be moving out no the 16th. She wants me to finish paying for August since that's what she says I agreed to. (which there's nothing written) She doesn't want to be responsible for no one living there. There isn't even a binding verbal agreement because the apartment doesn't know that I'm subleasing from her, because both of us wanted to save a little money. She said she went and talked to a tenant lawyer to see how to handle the situation. So now I'm trying to get in touch with one of my cousins who is a lawyer here in Austin. Here is the stupid email she sent me that I don't understand:

Hey whats up,
OK I know this is getting confusing so I went to talk
to a tennant lawyer here in Philadlephia for some
advice on what would be fair. Since you aggreed to
lease from me for the remainder of my lease that binds
you you until its termination which is August 31st.
And I do understand about your other apartment but I
dont want to be left soley responsible for 3/4 of the
rent because no one lives there. So in my opinion I
think what would be fair would be to split the 320$
and then you would pay me 160.00 Becuase otherwise if
you were to pay the 320-103.30dollars credit for the
ten days then it would be 216.70 so this other way
saves you $56.70. I am sorry that this is getting all
techinical but its money talk and I know we both need
to make sure that it is fair for the both of us. If
you dont agree then please write me back and we will
figure something out but I hope that you understand
why I dont want to have to be completely responsible
for you moving out two weeks early, so this way is the
equivalent of splitting those last two weeks and we
will each be responsible for one of them. So let me
know what you think

So let me know what YOU guys think!

Hi everybody!
It seems to be that I'm only writing about my weekends on my blog, which means my life during the week is abolutely a major bore which I doubt any of you really want to hear about. (all the jester stories have pretty much been written) This weekend, I went with Melissa to Katy (Cinco Ranch) to visit Shawn and Stacie. Shawn's family has the most beautiful, monstrous house I've ever stayed in. After going to a party for just a little while, me and Melissa headed to the house, Melissa at the wheel. It took us 3 hours to get there and Melissa accidently hit the back of my car against some rocks in the culdesac where Shawn lives. I was kinda getting over a bit of intoxication so I didn't really care at that point, plus it's not like I don't already have all these dents all over my poor little Honda Civic. It's all good. Anyway, we had a major welcoming, everyone was waiting at the door for the 2 girls who kept calling for directions to the house. Shawn showed us his amazing house, then we played catchphrase with a bunch of people. We went to bed about 5 and woke up at 12. We ate at Jack in the Crack then went swimming at Shawn's community pool. Talk about a mini-Schlitterbahn! Somebody must have had too much money on their hands. We went to Kroger's to buy some food to cook dinner with, ate spaghetti that night, then went to Blockbuster to check out a couple of movies. We watched Amelie, which I've already seen, but I really really liked. I don't know if everyone else liked it or not, or if they were just really sleepy. Sunday, we watched The Time Machine , (which I've also seen and liked) and ate taquitos with cheese dip (and 1 ranch)for lunch. Me and Melissa headed home around 3 p.m. very happy that we were able to spend such an awesome weekend with such great friends. *cheesy smile*
My last day at my stupid job is the 5th of August. Then it be a big party til da damn school starts.
