Happy New Year's!

I hope everyone rang in the new year properly. I seriously wanted to ring it in right and send 2004 with a nice big "fuck you!"

New Year's Eve was a lot of fun. I hung out with Druck, Ricky, Wolf and Kelsie. We started the evening by eating pizza and having a few drinks. Thanks to Ricky for being our DD. Then we headed downtown to watch the "star raising." It's kind of like the ball drop, I guess, except they were 5 minutes late with the countdown. :/ Everyone was cheering at midnight though, and I thought it was funny that no one's cell phone would work because of all the calls trying to go through. We walked around for a little while, and Kelsie and I went into a bar to take a celebratory New Year's shot. Kelsie said it was the best shot she had ever had. :D We walked around a little longer, and I realized that my friend David was probably spinning at his usual club, raking in the dough. It took me a while to remember where Fuel was, but I remembered and we found him up stairs. He seemed really happy to see us because he said no one ever comes to visit him at work. So we hung out with him, DJ Havoc, in the DJ booth for a good half hour, watching these girls try to make out with him and dance with him, slap his ass. Yeah, it was so weird because I know David as a little dorky kid who does martial arts. Crazy. After that we headed back to Ricky's for me to sober up and the rest to get crashing. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to celebrate New Year's at all, but I'm glad I did. Let's hope for better times during this year. 2004 was just so bittersweet in so many ways.
