This past weekend made up for my slightly sucky Valentine weekend.
Friday I went to see May again with Ricky, Druck, Melissa, Wolf, Kelsie, and Michael. First we went to Kerbey Lane, where the service sucked, the food was decent, but I got sick because I hadn't eaten anything in hours. I mean SICK. I NEVER, NEVER get nauseous but I really thought there was going to be a sausage breakfast taco all over the Kerbey Lane entrance. Anyway, Lia and her roommate met us at Kerbey Lane and her roommate had some tums that made me feel better almost instantly. Weird. So we went to see May again. It was easier to watch the second time since I knew what was going to happen. Everyone else who hadn't seen it got weirded out, which I found a bit funny. Cause I felt the same way the first time....yeah...ok....
So on Saturday I went to kickboxing and then afterwards went to lunch wih a couple people from class and my instructor and his wife. We went to a place up on the north side called Manny Hattens. It was really good and I had a lot of fun. They're all great people to talk and laugh with. I hope to do it again soon. Later in the evening the Friday group played pool for little while, which I suck at terribly. After that we rented a movie from I Love Video called Shaolin Soccer. OH MY GOD. That was the silliest movie I have ever seen but I laughed my ass off. It's a chinese sub-titled movie where these Shaolin kung fu guys use their skills to play soccer. I think it was a movie that wanted an excuse to use the latest advances in their computer technology, but it was still hilarious. I think I may buy it, but it's one of those movies where you have to watch it with a bunch of people. Anywho...
Today, UT classes got cancelled. The streets are frozen over and it's like 26 degrees outside. Last night I went to kickboxing and I almost thought I wasn't going to make it back. It wasn't too too bad getting there, but when I left, my windshield was frozen over with ice. It took me 30 minutes to leave and another 30 to get home. OY. If I ever live up north, I'm never driving. MAYBE if I have an SUV but not in a little car like my Honda. Us southern Texans aren't used to the ice and snow, so I was a little (lotta) out of my element. It was an experience though, but please don't tell me parents. They might freak out. Today, I took some pictures of the snow on the rooftops and on my car and the ground. I'll put them on my website soon, so stay tuned. I hope I can make it to kickboxing today...I'm going to try and find a ride though, cause I don't want to deal with that junk again. Ok, have a good week everyone. Adios.
