Here's a doozy for ya!
I went home this weekend so I wouldn't be by myself since Philip was in Florida. My mom asked if it was ok that we went to this festival with her cousin's wife, Samantha, and her kids. She said there were supposed to be some spectacular fireworks. I was up for it since I had just seen a good fireworks show pretty recently. We get to the pasture that the festival was in and as we're walking in, there are some tee pees and old war hospital stations set up on the left. In the main area, there was some honky tonk music about Jesus going on. I asked my mom what was up with the music and she says, "oh, this is a christian festival." :/ So on the main stage there is this large picture of Jesus wrapped in the American flag. :/ The main stage had a flag background with a statue of liberty on the top-center. It was hot as hell, but we were all hungry so we went to the concession stands to get something to eat. The prices were great: 1.75 for a sausage on a stick, 1.50 for nachos, .25 for a snowcone. So we ate then went to let the kids play on the moonwalks they had.
