Last night I went to the Alamo Drafthouse with Ricky, Druck, Jennifer, Kelsie, Benton, Amanda and Sara. Ricky entered his video into this contest they were having. It was kind of like an open mic night except people brought homemade videos or movies. If we didn't like the film we could boo it off the screen. Whenever the movie got enough boos someone would run up to the stage and hit a gong. Most of the time, Jennifer and I would get a consensus and yell "gong" as loud as we could so that we could other people in the theater to say "gong" also. There were movies that just did NOT need to be on that screen. I think people were so bored that they were too tired to say "gong" after a while. The first prize was $100 for the best film. We tried our hardest to get Ricky's in the top spot, but the theater hand raising just wasn't enough, and the kung-fu film "Hard Sail" took the loot. I am proud to say that Ricky received 3rd place out of about 20 entries, 7 of which were sent in by the same people with the same storyline. Let's not talk about the "hillbilly pulp fiction" fiasco. Oy, that was the worst. Maybe I'll tell you about those movies sometime, but it's hard to explain and isn't as funny unless you were there. Anyway, just wanted to say you go Shakira, I mean Ricky. ;)
